Betty Crocker Mac and Cheese Review

BC Mac and Cheese We always have a fight here in my house. Homemade mac and cheese doesn't count as that would always be the preferred mac and cheese.  But, my hubby would always choose a mac and cheese with a cheese sauce packet, while I prefer the good old fashioned powdered kind by Kraft.  And yes, it does have to be Kraft.  So, when I saw that Betty Crocker had a new mac and cheese, and one that was prepared a little different, we decided to give it a try.

What is so different, you might ask?  Well, unlike the other mac and cheese that is on the market, this one doesn't have you drain the noodles after cooking.  You cook it all in one pot for 12 minutes until it thickens and the noodles are done.  Even better because there is less mess this way.  I was really excited to try this.

I wish that I could say that my excitement lasted after taking the first bite.  The whole family determined that this mac and cheese wasn't even edible, that's how bad it was.  I have seen some other reviews of this product and wonder if maybe we got a faulty few boxes or something.  The sauce had no flavor...well wait, it did have a flavor that was similar to eating wet paper.  I mean, it was REALLY bad.  And, obviously it doesn't take gourmet flavor to impress me if Kraft is one of my favorites, lol!

I would love to know what you thought if you have tried it.  I can't say I will take the chance of trying it again, but I'd love to know if anyone else thought the flavor was terrible, or if I'm all alone.
